"Where do I start?" Initial Package

“I don’t even know where to start”

Having a tiny human is ridiculously overwhelming, isn’t it? Maybe you’re in the “will someone tell me if I should be worried?” phase, or the “the school/teacher keeps calling, ugh” phase, or any one of the other 734 other phases parents go through when they have a child who is not the picture perfect student. This is where I come in.

We’ll go through your (or someone else’s) presenting concerns and figure out what to do next. I’ll talk to the school, your student, and review any other documentation you have and work with you to make a plan. That might mean suggesting some classroom accommodations, referring to another service provider who supports what your child needs, or advocating with the school for additional services or supports. Whatever is going on, we’ll figure it out. No overwhelm required.

What is it?

All the interviews

I’ll talk to all the relevant people (you, teachers, possibly your child, outside therapists, etc.) about your child. That way we can start to get a complete picture of what’s going on.

A place to start

After all those conversations, I’ll share my working hypothesis about what might be going on for your child. I’ll also share resources and tools that may support right away.

Building a roadmap

We’ll put together a plan for next steps to support your child. That might mean working with the school or finding an outside service provider or any other myriad possibilities. But we’ll make a clear roadmap and I’ll walk you through it. No stress necessary.
